Who we are

Implant Training Group (“ITG”, “we”, “us”) provides continuing education for dental professionals in prosthodontics, periodontics, surgery and restorative dentistry. Our website address is: https://implanttraining.ca.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What information we collect

When you register for a course. At checkout we collect your first and last name, phone number, email address and billing address, and, if you choose to provide them, your clinic name, profession and order notes. For courses offered exclusively to members of the Denturist Association of Ontario (DAO), we also ask whether you are a DAO member. We record the date and time you agreed to the course registration terms.

When you contact us. Our registration and contact form collects your full name, phone number, email address, the course you are interested in and your message.

Payment information. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. Your card details are entered with that processor and are not stored on our website.

Technical information. When you visit, our servers receive your IP address and browser information, and the site uses the cookies described below.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• process your course registration and payment, and send your order confirmation;
• confirm eligibility for courses offered exclusively to DAO members;
• contact you about your registration, including schedules and any changes to a course;
• respond to your enquiries; and
• keep the records we need for accounting, tax and legal purposes.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Our cart and checkout use cookies to remember the courses in your cart while you browse and to keep your checkout session secure. These cookies do not contain your payment details and expire within two days. If your browser is set to refuse cookies, the cart and checkout will not work.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google. Links on this site to Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram take you to those websites, which collect data under their own privacy policies.

Who we share your data with

We share personal information only as needed to deliver our courses and run this website: with our payment processor to take payment, with the providers that host this website and send its email, and where we are required to by law.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

We keep registration and order records for as long as needed to administer your registration and to meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations. Messages sent through our contact form are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have registered for a course, placed an order or contacted us, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also ask us to correct or erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Payment details you enter at checkout are sent to our payment processor. Order confirmations are sent by email to the address you provide.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
